About the family
Sony launched the first PlayStation in Japan in December 1994, and it reached North America and Europe in September 1995. The PlayStation 5 came out on November 11, 2020. Besides consoles, the brand had two handhelds, the PSP and the PS Vita. The PlayStation Portal, from November 15, 2023, at 199.99 dollars, does not run games on its own: with an 8-inch screen and the two halves of a DualSense, it plays games installed on the PS5 over Wi-Fi (Game Informer).
